2021
Inception of CERT-X-GEN
Bugb’s founder and CEO Shahid invents CERT-X-GEN’s version 1, it was merely a tool to indetify which IP belongs to which company mostly for bug bounty purpose.
2022
Finding an open source community
Development of core platform began, focusing on creating exceptional algorithms for real-time exploit generation and advanced analysis. Shahid made the first version of CERT-X-GEN available to open source community over Github.
2023
First CVE and Paper published
We identified CVE-2023-27290 in IBM Bugb’s founder Shahid identified several vulnerabilities in IBM’s observability platform which turned out to be a CVE. An idea was born for BUGB, he also presented a paper to WHDCON in Qatar demonstrating the real value of CERT-X-GEN.
2024
Bugb Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Founded
Bugb as soon as was launched made a boom in the industry by taking a pledge to secure at least 100 organisations every week by providing responsible disclosures to organisations.
